Clinical Psychologist
I am a Licensed Psychologist practicing in Kapolei, Hawaii, deeply committed to serving the community where I was raised. Growing up on the Leeward Coast of O'ahu, it has always been my goal to give back to the place I love. After completing my undergraduate studies on the mainland, I returned to pursue my passion for psychology at Hawaii School of Professional Psychology (formerly Argosy University Hawaii), where I earned my doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 2014. With over a decade of clinical experience in therapy and assessment, I am dedicated to supporting the individuals and families of Hawaii.
Specialties:
My expertise lies in psychological and neuropsychological testing, focusing on ADHD, learning disabilities, developmental disorders, and behavioral and emotional concerns. Testing is a valuable tool for identifying both strengths and areas for growth, allowing me to provide recommendations that address challenges and build on an individual’s strengths.
While assessments are my primary focus, I also cherish the opportunity to engage in therapy. This allows me to be creative and fully present with my clients, working with children, teens, adults, and families facing various mental health challenges. My priority is to establish a strong therapeutic relationship by creating a warm, safe, and supportive environment that fosters collaboration.
Passion for Mentoring:
In addition to my clinical work, I am passionate about mentoring the next generation of psychologists. I find great fulfillment in guiding budding professionals as they develop their skills and enter the field. This commitment to mentorship is an extension of my dedication to advancing the practice of psychology in our community.
Personal Interests:
Outside of work, I love spending time with family and friends. My favorite moments are early mornings with a cup of coffee, enjoying the calm before the day begins. I also enjoy getting lost in a good book or occasionally binge-watching my favorite TV shows.
